Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of the Harz Mountains, the studio combines modern comfort with a distinctive atmosphere, enriched by the presence of Oppermann’s original works. Once the forge of his grandfather, the building was meticulously restored in 2024 and transformed into an elegant retreat, blending contemporary design with a touch of industrial loft charm.

The Studio: Comfort and Modern Design for Up to Five Guests
The studio accommodates up to five guests, blending modern design with a welcoming, homely atmosphere. Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire property.
LIVING ROOM
The living room features a 5.1 sound system and a Samsung Smart TV with Spotify Premium, perfect for movie nights or relaxing musical breaks. In addition to free apps like YouTube and the ARD and ZDF media libraries, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, DAZN, Sky, Wow, Apple TV, and Magenta TV are pre-installed. You can simply log in with your personal accounts to start streaming.
Dimmable Philips Hue lighting creates the perfect mood, while the comfortable sofa bed (115 x 200 cm) provides an additional sleeping option when needed.
BEDROOMS
On the lower level of the apartment, you’ll find a cosy bedroom with a queen-size bed (140 x 200 cm). A high-end Marshall Bluetooth speaker offers excellent sound quality, while the stylish rope wardrobe (Loop Rope) and a wall shelf provide practical storage for your belongings.
The gallery, accessible via stairs from the living room, features a spacious king-size bed (180 x 200 cm) and a dedicated workspace with a desk. A view of Wernigerode Castle adds to the unique charm of this sleeping area.
All sleeping areas, including the sofa bed in the living room, can be completely darkened with blackout blinds and curtains, ensuring restful nights for all guests.
KITCHEN
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a child-safe induction hob, pots and pans, a fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, kettle, oven, toaster, blender, tableware, glassware, and cutlery. Various coffee and tea-making facilities are also available, including a coffee machine, French press, and teapot with multiple strainers. Located adjacent to the dining area, the kitchen makes cooking and dining together a truly enjoyable experience.
BATHROOM
The bathroom boasts a sleek, modern design with underfloor heating and a large, walk-in rain shower. A heated towel rack ensures your towels are always warm and dry, even in summer, while the generously sized, illuminated mirror provides ample light for your daily routine. A hairdryer and plenty of storage space for toiletries complete the amenities.
GARAGE
One of the studio’s standout features is its private, video-monitored garage located directly beneath the property, exclusively for guest use. Ideal for safeguarding high-value vehicles, motorcycles, or mountain bikes, the garage ensures your belongings are securely stored. The garage door has a width of 218 cm and a clearance height of 195 cm.
UTILITY ROOM
On the ground floor, behind the garage, is a utility room equipped with a washing machine and a separate dryer for exclusive use – perfect for longer stays. An iron and ironing board are also available for your convenience.

Our studio is ideal for families. We provide child-safe electrical outlets, a high-quality and easy-to-clean Leander changing board, a baby cot, a high chair, a box of Duplo blocks, and a selection of board and card games – everything young families might need.

ACCESS & SAFETY

For added peace of mind, the garage is under video surveillance. The studio is also equipped with a fixed safe, a fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and a first aid kit.

Please note that smoking is not permitted in the property, and pets are not allowed. A cleaning fee of at least €200 will be charged in the event of violations.
The garage has a height clearance of 195 cm and a maximum width of 218 cm. Unfortunately, charging electric vehicles is not permitted for safety reasons.
A local tourist tax is applicable in Wernigerode. In return, you’ll receive a ticket upon arrival that allows free use of public transport within the Harz district and discounts at museums, restaurants, and attractions.
The building’s facade is still awaiting final completion. However, rest assured that any construction work is scheduled only when the property is unoccupied.
